The photographer behind d.no_mad
David Cabestany
Photography as close observation.
David Cabestany is a photographer working across street photography, visual essays and experimental image-making. Under the name d.no_mad, he studies how people, architecture and everyday disorder produce brief scenes that are easy to overlook.
The work is interested in cities without cosmetic correction: awkward gestures, worn surfaces, visual compression, humour, isolation and the tension between documentary evidence and personal interpretation.
Photography Atlas extends this practice into an independent publication about how photographs work: their composition, history, technique, ethics and cultural context.
